Weight Management Service
Please feel free to complete the online form on the link above if you wished to be considered for referral and initial assessment with to our excellent NHS Weight Management Service. They are an experienced multi-disciplinary team thats consists of :
- Psychologists
- Dieticians and dietetic support workers
- physiotherapists
- Activity and exercise specialists
They provide evidence-based expert assessment and advice on how to lose weight in a safe, manageable and sustainable way with focus on psychology and behavioural support combined with exercise /activity advice. The individualised sessions run either face-to-face or virtually and they also organise group or individual sessions They run several support programmes including lifestyle interventions , emotional wellbeing support, and signposting to additional self -help resources/ services currently available in the community..
They offer the service to:
- anyone over 18
- BMI >25 (overweight or obese)
- Diabetes
- Prediabetes (borderline diabetic)

NHS Food Scanner highly recommended app that helps with making healthier food and drink choices. You can barcode a food or drink item in the supermarket and it will analyse the exact food contents of that product including the fat, salt, sugar content and total calories. It will also provide a recommendation for a healthier , tasty equivalent to the food you are craving but know you shouldn't have !
NHS Weight Loss Plan App
Is a great app to keep track of your eating habits, help develop healthier more active lifestyle. You can follow 12 informative weekly NHS guides to help maintain a balanced diet and monitor what you are eating and advice on calorie targets.
