Free Christmas Dinner and Some Company!

If you are feeling isolated this Christmas then here are some options for a free hot Xmas dinner and some company!

Hibernian Community Foundation are providing a free 3 course Christmas lunch on 25th December at Easter Road stadium. Alternatively they can deliver a meal to your home if you are unable to attend. Please contact Lewis Melee if you would like to attend – lewis@hiberniancf.org

Steps To Hope are offering a free Christmas dinner on 25th December at St Cuthbert’s Church Lothian Road. Pop along at 1pm, they are happy for anyone to drop along, no need to book!

Bethany Christian Trust operate a Winter Welcome Shelter based at Haymarket Hub Hotel (7 Clifton Terrace) from October-May. For anyone who funds themselves without a safe place to sleep this winter the Welcome Shelter provides shelter in the form of private en-suite rooms, hot food and support to find permanent accommodation and access to other services.

Struggling With Mental Health During the Festive Period?

Edinburgh Crisis Centre offer emotional and practical support to people experiencing a mental health crisis and are open 24/7 every day of the year. They can offer same day telephone, video call of face to face support. To contact them please call 0808 801 0414.

Breathing Space is a telephone service for anyone suffering from low mood or anxiety and would benefit from having someone to talk to. They will listen, offer advice and provide information to different services where appropriate. To contact them please call 0800 83 85 87.

Campaign Against Living Miserably also offer telephone support 5pm – midnight every day of the year with a particular focus on men’s mental health. To contact them please call 0800 58 58 58.

Crisis are a homelessness charity who operate a ‘Crisis at Christmas’ team supporting vulnerable people over the festive period. This Christmas they have many volunteering opportunities such as delivery drivers, chefs, arts facilitators, hairdressers and wellbeing practitioners.
